Creation of a Reception Area, Specialized High School, Sion, Valais

Blueprint 2003 | completion 2005
Brief: Reception area, temporary exhibition, presentation of the school

Following changes to the site's access roads, the utilization of the various entrances to the buildings has been completely altered; the reception area is a response to these new requirements.

Having a passage is visually important to convey continuity between the buildings. Accordingly, the impression of a through thoroughfare will be reinforced by uniform treatment of the floor and the substitution of doorsteps by a succession of slopes.

There will be discreet glazed windows here and there, offering a maximum of transparency. They can also be opened when the weather is fine.

Materials will be left untouched except for hollow casings, doorways, etc., which will be coloured.
