Draft order for the retrofit of the Priory’s cellars, Lens

Project 2006
Associates: François Meyer, Claude Fabrizzi, Joseph Cordonier
Programme: Meeting and exhibition rooms, reception area, auditorium, restrooms

The proposition for this is to develop the present building through a gentle approach. The natural stone vaults will be given special prominence. A waxed coating will be suggested for the floor and the components such as furniture, doors … will be made of wood. They will offer a contrast with the walls while keeping with the spirit of the place.

The management of the multirole capability of the facilities is assured by the furniture, the latter also allowing for a smooth and flexible use of space.

The various allocations are made possible thanks to the complementarity of the two cellars of different sizes and to the various pieces of furniture.
