forming an annex to the existing Museum buildings

Because of the beauty of the site and its surroundings, we have endeavoured to make the visible impact of the facility as discreet as possible, so that it blends into the topography without detracting from the view.

In a format that is more 'true to nature' than construed, the emergent part resembles a boulder of rock similar to those that make up the surrounding countryside. When open, it provides a facility that offers a service area for visitors and a terrace. When closed, it melts into the countryside.
